Golden Age Club
This club was formed to enable active Louisa County seniors (age 55 or better) to meet new friends, explore shared interests, and to find a shared voice to advocate for interests and needs of seniors. On Friday, January 13th meet at 10 a.m. at the Sargent Museum of Louisa County History on Fredericksburg Avenue for a guided tour of the exhibits with expert commentary by Elaine Taylor, Director, and a viewing of oral histories by County elders about significant early events and conditions. On Friday, January 27th, meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. at Dos Potrillos Mexican Restaurant in the Glen Marye Shopping Center. On Friday, February 10th join us at 10 a.m. for a fun social at the Betty Queen Center for a variety of games and a potluck luncheon. On Friday, February 24th lunch at Smokin’ Eddies in Louisa at 11:30 a.m. On Friday, March 9th meet at 10 a.m. at the Louisa Fire Station on Main Street for a presentation on fire safety and fire control operations in Louisa County. On Friday, March 23rd lunch at 11:30 a.m. at Roma’s Restaurant. Friday, April 13th meet at 10 a.m. at the Betty Queen Center for a music concert, including some sing-alongs and refreshments. On Friday, April 27th lunch at the Inwood Restaurant on Route 15 just north of Gordonsville at 11:30 a.m. On Friday, May 11th meet at 10 a.m. at the home of Kay and Alex MacCormack, for a social hour and cookout. They offer easy parking, level walking, a tour of their home’s original artwork and an ample shaded patio for dining and socialization. On Friday, May 25th lunch at lakeside Restaurant at Hunter’s Landing on Lake Anna at 11:30 a.m. Annual membership dues are $12. Call LCPR at 967-4420 for additional information.
