For people with mild osteoporosis, and taught by David G. Schwartz, M.D., this exercises endorsed by the Mayo Clinic to reduce risk of fractures. Yoga postures will be learned that improve balance and strengthen the muscles that support the bones, which are the most vulnerable to injury. Improve your body and your mind! Daily homework exercises necessary for good results. Exercises may be adapted to severity of bone loss. People with severe osteoporosis should not take this class. Instruction includes eye movements, joint movements for better function, deep relaxation techniques, and breathing exercises. Bring a mat and at least one floor cushion.
