Louisa Gators Swim Team
The Louisa County Gators Swim Team, sponsored by LCPR, is open to all area residents ages 5 through 18. The Gators compete in the Jefferson Swim League (JSL) against other teams in the Charlottesville area. Practices are held most weekdays in the morning and/or evening. Specific practice times are based on the swimmer’s age and ability. The season culminates July 29 and 30 with the Championship Meet at the UVA Aquatic Facility.
We are family oriented and provide activities for the whole family throughout the summer. We like competition, but the Gator experience is not all about winning. We focus on being part of a team: improving skills and self-esteem, being active, having LOTS of fun, practicing good sportsmanship, and ALWAYS doing our best! To join the Gators, swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards unassisted (one length of the pool).
Registration fee is $160 for the first child, $150 for each additional child in same family. Payment plans are available but all accounts must be paid in full by May 1 (includes swim caps and team T-shirt). Team suits are required and need to be purchased separately (approximate price is $40/girls and $30/boys).
To learn more, stop by the Betty Queen Center on May 10 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and get all the registration information and meet the Louisa Gator Swim Team Head Coach Debra Bickley. You may also reach Debra if you have specific questions at (540) 760-1464 or e-mail her at CoachDebraB@yahoo.com. Visit our website at www.LCPR.info for all the registration information and updated materials.
